Youth Ministries

Being
a youth in today’s world is tough. Young people face many
options and challenging choices. At OECC we work to provide a safe
and supportive environment, where all students can come to feel
welcomed, accepted and loved. The goal of our Youth Ministry is
to create an atmosphere that gets to the heart of what it means
to be a true follower of Christ. Through fellowship, service, Biblical
instruction and small group interaction, we desire to be Christians
known by what we DO as well as by what we say.
Christian
Formation Classes:
By partnering
with LifeChurch.tv,
and utilizing the LifeYouth resources of LifeChurch.tv, we are able
to explores a range of topics from “How do I know God exists?”
to “How was the Bible written?” and “How can I
apply what scripture says to my life?” to “How do I
Pray?”.
Seasonal
Trips:
Specialized trips are taken annually or every-other-year. They include
our Colorado Ski Retreat, urban mission projects, a summer youth
session at Covenant Cedars Camp, float (canoe) trips and occasional
retreats.
C.H.I.C.
The Evangelical Covenant Church’s premier youth gathering
brings thousands of students and sponsors together on a major U.S.
college campus once every three years. OECC plans far in advance
for this life-changing event in our students’ lives.
